Otis Pendleton (1816-1878)
This portrait of the Stonington sea captain is remarkable not only in the extraordinary skill of the artist, but in the portrayal of Captain Pendleton holding an octant rather than the usual telescope or chart.

Third son of ten children of Nehemiah and Submit Palmer.
Married Anna Chesebrough September 27, 1767.

 

Anna Chesebrough Palmer
Anna Chesebrough Palmer (1747-1802)
Wife of Elijah Palmer. She was the ninth of eleven children of Deacon Nathan Chesebrough and Bridget Noyes.

 


Reverend Albert Gallatin Palmer (1813-1891)
The Reverend Palmer was pastor of the First Baptist Church of Stonington.
