Parlor
Parlor.
According to photographic evidence, a square piano was located in this same spot in the 1800s. This piano, made in 1851, is almost identical to the original, and was given to the family in the early 20th century.

The portrait is of two of the three sons of Capt. Alexander Palmer and his wife Priscilla:
Alexander S. Palmer, Jr. (1843-1891) and Louis Lambert Palmer (1845-1887).

 

Dining room

Hanging above the fireplace mantel is a portrait of Betsy Palmer Dixon (b. 1778),
mother of Alexander's wife, Priscilla.

 

Children's room

Southwest bedroom
Second floor: southwest bedroom.
The original corner sink was fed by a cistern in the attic.

 

Curved stairs
Tightly curved stairs lead to the eight-sided cupola or widow's nest.
