Lighthouse Rental Information

Rental of the Lighthouse grounds includes

  • Exclusive use of the grounds east of the building right down to the water offering sweeping panoramic views of Little Narragansett Bay.
  • An outdoor water faucet and electrical outlet are available.
  • All events will require a Family membership with the Stonington Historical Society.
  • The cost of rental is determined by several factors including size of event, length of time required, and amount of set-up involved.
  • Rental Rates:
    • $5,000 – Large Tented and Catered Events.
    • $1,500 – Shorter Catered and Non-catered Events (100-person limit)
    • $500 – Smaller Non-catered Events (50-person limit)
    • $150 – Brief Events with no set up (20-person limit)

The Captain Palmer House Rental Information

Rental of The Captain Palmer House includes

  • Exclusive use of the grounds, including private garden area and waterside wild garden.
  • Outdoor event capacity is 120 people.
  • Catering kitchen is available.
  • The first floor of this 1850s Italianate villa is available for up to 50 people: four interconnecting rooms including parlor, dining room, spacious kitchen area, and exhibit gallery with front stair hall, side entry, and powder room. A dining table, 50 folding chairs, and two six-foot folding tables are available for your convenience. Additional furniture must be supplied by renter.
  • The site is available year-round at the discretion of staff so as not to interfere with museum activities.
  • Rental Rates
    • $2,500 – Outdoor Tented Events
    • $1,000 – Outdoor Events
    • $1,000 – Indoor Events (50-person limit)
